We are so excited to introduce you to Tony and Kayleigh!! We met these two in Northern Ireland for a truly epic photo shoot! Not only did we end the session with a ton of incredible photographs, but even better, we had two new amazing friends! We had tons in common as they also do Wedding photography and videography but we really connected more so as just friends. They’re incredibly friendly, made us feel super welcome, and were so easy to just relax and laugh withWe could have spent all day hanging out with Tony and Kayleigh and that we didn’t leave enough time to share a few pints of Guinness with these two is easily my biggest regret from our Ireland adventure. They also took some really great photos of us and showcased all the awesome things they were doing with their drone. The evening before our photoshoot with Tony and Kayleigh we had just found out that we were officially expecting a little Manstrom and as we wanted to wait until we got home to tell our family and friends they were the first people we told. Immediately they hugged us, I maybe almost cried, and then they had a fantastic idea for an incredible birth announcement video which they filmed for us. We absolutely loved it!
For those of you who have visited Ireland, I don’t need to describe how impossibly green and beautiful everything is. Not only are the trees green, but so are the vines growing on them, and the flowers growing on the vines, and the moss underneath it all! The entire place looks like a movie. Which is probably why so many movies are filmed there. Most notably in our humble opinion, Game of Thrones!!! We’re huge fans. We read the books, watch the show, listen to the podcasts, even color the coloring books! We’re obviously super cool 😉 Needless to say we wanted to visit as many of the filming locations as possible. We actually photographed all of this session at two different Game of Thrones locations. The careful observer may recognize the first location as Ballintoy Harbor. In GoT, it’s the place where Theon Greyjoy landed at Pyke in his attempt to garner allies and support from his father Balon for Robb Stark and the rebellion. We also made our way to the iconic Dark Hedges for a few photos. GoT lifers will undoubtedly recognize this from the show as the Kingsroad.
Concentrating on anything that day was almost impossible, we were completely overwhelmed with GoT goodness, amazing new friends, gorgeous backdrops literally everywhere you looked, and the fact that we had a little Manstrom growing inside Jamie. Thankfully Jamie brought her A+ game, as she always does and we ended the evening with some amazing portraits. We really think you’re going to love this session just as much as we did. Hopefully some day soon we can make the trip back with little Jonah. There’s so much he needs to see and two wonderful Irish friends he simply needs to meet!!
